Introduction To Regular Expressions
A regular expression is a special sequence of characters that helps you match or find other strings or sets of strings, using a specialized syntax held in a pattern. Regular expressions are widely used in the UNIX world.
example:- Searching date and time in the datasheet, textbook, etc.
Regular expressions can contain both special and ordinary characters. they simply match themselves.
these are generally made by using meta-characters and repetition qualifiers.
